LOW MOOR — Alleghany Highlands Public Schools is proud to recognize its school leaders during Virginia Principals Appreciation Week, Jan. 12-16, honoring the dedication, leadership, and commitment of principals who serve students, staff, and families across the division.

Mallory Thompson, Mountain View Elementary School

Chris Jones, Sharon Elementary School

Cynthia Morgan, Jeter-Watson Elementary School

Lori Mattson, Covington Middle School

Cindy Fox, Clifton Academy

“Principals set the tone for learning and community in our schools every day,” said Kim Halterman and Melinda Snead-Johnson, leaders of Alleghany Highlands Public Schools. “Their dedication, leadership, and care for students and staff make a lasting difference. We are grateful for their tireless work and the positive impact they have on our entire community.”

Virginia Principals Appreciation Week is a chance for the entire community to say thank you to the principals who lead our schools. From greeting students each morning to supporting teachers and handling daily challenges, these leaders work hard every day to help every student succeed.

The week is being officially recognized with a proclamation signed by Governor Glenn Youngkin, highlighting the importance of school principals in supporting student achievement and strengthening communities across Virginia.

Alleghany Highlands Public Schools extends sincere thanks to all principals for their service and leadership.
