The EZ A2B Parent Portal allows families to stay informed with real-time updates and alerts about their children’s bus transportation. Parents can receive notifications when buses are delayed and when buses are approaching pickup and drop-off locations.
The app also allows AHPS to communicate directly with families about bus transportation issues, eliminating the need for automated calls to entire schools. This ensures that messages are targeted, timely, and relevant to only those affected. The school division has already begun to reduce “robocalls” and texts to the entire school population when buses have schedule changes.
Soon, parents will also receive notifications if their student gets off at an unassigned stop. Tablets supporting bus-to-parent communication have arrived and will be installed on school buses, with full implementation expected to take approximately 30 days or longer. Training will be provided to staff as needed to ensure a smooth rollout.
The system is designed with privacy and security in mind. Only verified parents or guardians and district administrators can access student bus route information, ensuring that bus routes remain secure and accessible only to those authorized within the system.
AHPS encourages all parents and guardians to register for the EZ A2B Parent Portal to begin receiving notifications and route updates. The system provides the most accurate, up-to-date information to help families plan and stay informed.
AHPS looks forward to continuing to improve transportation communication and student safety through this new system.
